The IAS/UPSC main exam is descriptive type paper-based exam in which the candidates need to write answers as per given keywords for the questions. In addition to general studies papers. In general studies papers, there is an essay paper in which the candidates need to write two essays.
General Studies is one of the main subject in the UPSC Civil Services Mains Exam. General Studies Syllabus for UPSC Mains Exam consists of four papers of 250 marks each. Therefore, with a total of 1000 marks it is the most important part of preparation of IAS/UPSC Mains Exam.
